Priceless Picks User Submission Guidelines

Profanity & Vulgarity

• No profanity

Comments Relating to MasterCard, its competitors or the Application

• No references to MasterCard Products/Brand association, including: MasterCard PayPass®, MasterCard Small Business, World MasterCard, World Elite MasterCard, Debit MasterCard, PrePaid MasterCard, Credit MasterCard, Priceless, MoneySend.
• No mention of, or references to the Priceless Picks Application or submissions within the application
• No mention of, or references to partners of the Application, including Shop Local, Not For Tourists, Amazon Mechanical Turks etc
• No mention of, VISA, American Express, Discover, Citibank, Bank of America, JP Morgan Chase or any other credit/debit card or banks

Advertising/URLs/Self-Promotion

• No brand bashing or brand negativity permitted.
• Examples: "I hate Brand X"
• No links to photos or artwork
• Website addresses are not acceptable except in the applicable website address field
• No comparative commercial messages, endorsements, and/or solicitations for products or services
• "Brand X is better than Y" or "You'll never want Brand X again"
• Consumer posted submissions CANNOT advertise or offer to sell or buy any goods or services within the application.
• It will be the sole discretion of MasterCard as to what constitutes an advertisement. Consumers must be generic when posting submissions about offers, deals or discounts.
• Acceptable: "Great deals at LOCATION X"
• Not Acceptable: "10% off at LOCATION X" or "Free refills/Free museums" (use of "free" is considered an offer)
• Copyright Defined: Any message which appears to contain words constituting a breach of confidence, copyright, trademarks, privacy or other similar rights.

Trademarks/Copyright

• Do not use Trademarks or brand names other than factual descriptions. (i.e. "Retailer X located on 5th and 42nd")
• Do not imply a sponsorship or endorsement between Brands and/or Brands and Celebrities (i.e. "MasterCard card's are preferred at the Retailer X")
• No use of celebrity names.
• Do not use Trademarks or Brand Names in a disparaging, immoral, libelous manner.
• No submissions containing words constituting a breach of confidence, copyright, privacy or other similar rights, including slogans or other company tag lines (i.e. "There are some things money can't buy, for everything else there's MasterCard.")

Personal Information

• No email addresses allowed
• No Phone numbers (Phone numbers only acceptable from Priceless Picks 3rd party vendors)
• No Full names – First names only

Foreign Languages

• No word or phrases in any foreign language, unless such word(s) is commonly used in the United States and its meaning it well known.

Trolling

• "Troll/Trolling" posts are strictly prohibited. MasterCard has the right to remove messages that they consider troll/trolling" at any time. (What is Trolling? Someone who regularly posts specious arguments or personal attacks to a newsgroup, discussion list, or in email for no other purpose than to annoy someone or disrupt a discussion. Trolls are recognizable by the fact that the have no real interest in learning about the topic at hand - they simply want to bait people and cause havoc.)
• No behavior/comments that may result in others feeling threatened or specifically targeted or abused.

Alcohol, Drugs, Tobacco and Firearms

• No reference to firearms or other weapons
• No reference to Tobacco, cigarettes, smoking, and other smoking related paraphernalia
• No reference to prescription or illegal drugs
• No reference to drinking or alcohol abuse
• No references to directly promoting alcohol or alcohol consumption
• No drink offers or reference to FREE drinks
• Submissions can reference alcohol, but cannot be the focus of the submission
• Examples:
"Local Irish pub with great food and beer. Wednesday is the best night to go during the week." – YES
• "Great little hole-in-the-wall bar with good bands, good drinks, and good people!" – YES
• "Great selection of wine and gourmet food with excellent chef" – YES
• "Small bar with beers on tap from small independent breweries from all over the world." – NO
• "This bar has great drinks for CHEAP! You can usually get a Jack and Coke for under $5!" – NO
• "Has the great variety of wines and offers many free wine tasting." – NO

Personal Comments and Attacks

• Personal attacks will not be tolerated. They do not add anything to the discussion.
• Do not disrespect, insult, threaten, target, challenge or attack other users or Picks.
• No mild sexual references such as describing someone as "sexy" or "hot".

Violence, Discrimination and Hatred

• Do not incite or directly reference: violence, past violence or the threat of violence
• Examples: No reference to riots, civil disobediences, dissent, discussion of violence, references to animal cruelty, etc
• No hatred, discrimination or prejudice based on any age, race, religion, sexual orientation, national origin or disability will be tolerated.

Criminal, Pornographic or Immoral Activity

• No mention of or reference to criminal or immoral activity will be permitted, including Drugs, Prostitution, Pimping, Fraud, Stalking, Extortion, Terrorism, etc.
• No comments discussing illegal activities will be permitted.
• Pornographic material and/or references to it are not allowed in posts or user profiles and post and user profiles containing such will be removed.

References to Upsetting/Distressing/ Controversial Subjects

• No references to abortion No references to Homeland Security, Terrorist Attacks, Civil unrest, War, etc.
• No references to disease, epidemics, pandemics, etc.
• No references to "flash mob" gatherings at specific times/locations (i.e. 3pm EST @ X location)
• No references containing political bias.

SPAM

• No submission that disrupts the application. Examples: garbled or nonsense sentences, duplication of words and numbers.
• No submission related to: surveys, contests, pyramid schemes, chain letters, junk e-mail, spamming or any duplicative or unsolicited messages (commercial or otherwise)

Hidden Meanings/ Meaningless Words

• Any message which appears to be nonsense or otherwise not make sense
• No use of acronyms (LOL; L8R)
